KUKIO

One of the first private equity Golf and Beach Clubs on Hawaii’s Big Island.

Welcome to Kukio

The Kukio community is located adjacent to the Hualalai Resort, only 10 minutes from the Keahole-Kona International Airport. What differentiates Kukio from the other resort communities along the Kona-Kohala Coast is that this private oceanfront club and residential community does not feature a hospitality or hotel component.

Kukio is one of the first private equity Golf and Beach Clubs on Hawaii’s Big Island that has been successfully turned over from the Developer to its Members. Therefore, all of the facilities and amenities are for the exclusive use of the Members and their guests, no outside public use is allowed.

Only property owners at Kukio can become Members of the Club. Overlooking Kukio Bay, the focal point of the community is the full-service Kukio Beach Clubhouse which fronts historic Hawaiian fish ponds and an archeological preserve with the island of Maui on the horizon. The Beach Club features a luxurious open aired spa and fitness facilities, Dining Pavilion, Beach Bar, an Events Lawn, and a swimming pool. On the beach at Kukio Bay is the signature Outdoor Pursuits program where a qualified recreation management team is available to assist Members in activities such as stand-up paddleboarding, surfing, outrigger canoe paddling, sailing, ocean fitness training, and kayaking. Adjacent to the Beach Club is the ten-hole Tom Fazio-designed practice short course.

Upslope from the short course is Kukio's 18-hole Tom Fazio-designed championship golf course, among one of the finest golf courses in Hawaii. The unique setting and design create amazing contrasts between dark lava, white sand bunkers, emerald green grass, and the blue Pacific Ocean as a backdrop. As a private Member's equity club, tee times are not necessary.

The 13,000 sq. ft. Kukio Golf Clubhouse offers men's and women's locker rooms, a restaurant, a bar, and a pro shop, all utilizing the highest quality services and amenities. The golf course uses state-of-the-art irrigation technology and equipment to ensure that the greens and fairways are kept in peak condition year-round.

Kukio real estate is comprised of 3 areas; the original Phase I which is approximately 330 acres. Within this centrally located core area, you will find the Kukio Beach Club with its associated amenities along with the 10-hole practice golf course. Real estate opportunities include Cottages, Hales, Villas, and single-family estate homes and lots.
